Economic Downturn Didn't Stop YMCA Volunteers

When 120 YMCA of Greater Seattle leaders gathered to learn the results of their annual Partners with Youth Campaign, they heard good news. Over 1,300 volunteers helped exceed the YMCA's goal with pledges totaling 13 percent over last year's campaign.

UPS Honors Top Employee Volunteer

Chuck Studebaker felt helpless as he watched his father suffer with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease. Since then, Mr. Studebaker dedicated himself to finding a way to help ALS patients regain communication skills. For this volunteer service, Studebaker's employer, UPS, has honored him with the Jim Casey Community Service Award.
