Blackbaud recently announced the formation of a new business unit with a focus on helping nonprofits identify their best potential donors. Blackbaud Analytics will use techniques acquired from Core Data Services of Denver, Colorado, as a platform for building a suite of data enhancement and custom modeling services.
"We formed Blackbaud Analytics -- and acquired Core Data Services -- to help nonprofits find the nuggets of gold hidden in their lists of potential supporters," stated Robert J. Sywolski, CEO of Blackbaud, Inc. "Our results provide a map with directions to the best prospects in their fund-raising databases."
After enriching data from the client's fund-raising database, Blackbaud Analytics' staff will build custom statistical models that will aid the nonprofit identify its best potential givers and maximize donations from these individuals.
Blackbaud Analytics will also provide consulting services to help fund-raisers make the most of this targeted information. Over time, more services will be added under the Blackbaud Analytics' umbrella to further assist nonprofits in finding their best supporters.
Adding custom modeling services to Blackbaud's slate of offerings combines Core Data Services' extensive experience in fund-raising and donor-based statistical analysis with Blackbaud's 20-year history of providing software and services to nonprofits. "Together, Blackbaud and Core Data can take a nonprofit from tackling technology hurdles to identifying and cultivating new major donors," said Lawrence Henze, founder of Core Data Services and the new managing director of Blackbaud Analytics.
