The Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers

The Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers (RAGs) is a national association of 28 metropolitan, state and multistate membership associations covering most of the country and supporting more than 3,400 foundations, grantmakers, and philanthropists. The Forum seeks a proactive, detail-oriented individual to provide direct support to members and other key audiences. Major responsibility areas include: information collection and dissemination; conference and meeting planning; and committee support.
Position requires: Bachelors degree and minimum two years experience in the nonprofit sector preferably with meetings and programs in a small to medium sized membership association. Strong communicator (written and oral). Highly developed appreciation of/facility with technology, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Access (or other databases). Internet and web capacity, including HTML, plus desire to learn/experience with information management. Must be able to anticipate the need for temporary workers and manage their work during high workload periods. Grounding in philanthropy or membership strongly preferred.
Also needed: a demonstrated enjoyment of and success with juggling multiple tasks. This individual must be have a strong affinity for the development and tracking of timelines and deadlines and must be able to self-manage as well as keep others on track. Extremely strong attention to detail is required. This is an exempt position that requires flexibility to travel occasionally and to work hours outside the standard weekly schedule.
