An outstanding Controller opportunity with an acclaimed performing arts center exists in NY.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This challenging Controller position will oversee the day to day operations of a busy Finance department including audits; supervision of software upgrade and conversion; management of the General Ledger; approval of purchase orders and payment requests; preparation of financial statements and reports; budget review; and maintenance of the center’s accounting systems.
REQUIREMENTS: A competitive candidate will be a CPA or posses an accounting degree. Excellent problem solving and communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office and a strong accounting background are essential to the financial professional who will fill the position. Preferences include five to seven years of accounting experience at a non-profit organization as well as experience with software upgrades.
COMPENSATION: $65K-$72K and full benefits.
