Disneyland executives spread good cheer throughout Orange County, Calif., recently by awarding $400,000 to 45 local service organizations, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The grants made up Disneyland's 41st annual Community Service Awards for local charities.
One of the biggest grantees this year was Human Options Inc., a Costa Mesa, Calif., women's shelter, which received $50,000 for operations and its new 10-week empowerment program.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange, Calif., also received a $50,000 award.
Other larger grants include $10,000 each to Friends In Service to Humanity-Harbor Area of Newport Beach, Calif. and Someone Cares Soup Kitchen of Costa Mesa. The Fairview Work Activities Center of Costa Mesa and the Adult Day Services of Orange County each received $5,000.
