The McCormick Foundation and Major League Baseball have launched Welcome Back Veterans, an initiative designed to raise public awareness about issues facing today's veterans, and to raise funds to help returning service members and their families repair and restore their lives. The program will focus primarily on mental health and job needs.

Pig Rescue Operation Yielding Success in Midwest

Amid myriad challenges, hard work is beginning to pay off for animal rescue teams that have spent the past three days on water and land operations in the Iowa floodwaters. As of now, 15 pigs which were stranded on and around the "Big Ditch" levee in Oakville have been rescued and are today being transported to their new home at Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, New York.

Dylan, a straggler hatchling who was rescued on Jekyll Island almost 10 years ago and became a national ambassador for sea turtles, is going home. Officials from the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island, and the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta will release Dylan into the ocean on Monday, June 30th at 11 a.m.
